Last winter as I was in Denmark I went to see “The Crazy Christmas Cabaret”, I did not know much about it but I bought the tickets for it. I bet you want to know what on earth was I so excited about, well, this year’s special occasion was a tribute to the master of suspense; Alfred Hitchcock, through the eyes of the very talented Vivienne McKee.
Many people, especially women, are obsessed with their weight. Most of the time they hear about weight loss solutions and dieting and start wondering what to do. Did you ever think or worry about people who are too skinny and want to gain weight? Probably not. People think because you are skinny you can't be insecure about yourself but let me tell you something... YOU ARE WRONG! I will begin by telling you that I know very poorly the history of ballet or worse their methods but that does not keep me from being enchanted by it. Last night we went to a ballet organized by a dance academy of my city, they were presenting ”The Swan Lake” and I feel proud to tell you that this has been the best art show I have ever seen in my city. The Swan Lake was fashioned from Russian folk tales, tells the story of Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil wizard’s curse. I went through some movies so I could watch this afternoon with my family and I found about 7 movies that mean everything to me, they were all by the same master...The one & only, Tim Burton. Mr. Burton has been my favorite director since I was a little girl, of course I never knew who he exactly was at that point, but I was an enthusiast of every single one of his movies. Another year has come to an end. 2013 has been one of the most difficult but most wonderful and encouraging years of my life. I'm thankful for every piece of it I've experienced; the good & the bad because that made me who I am today. If I could choose one quote to summarize what I've learn/ how I've try to live in 2013, it would be this: "Fill your heart with what's important and be done with all the rest " |
