Last winter as I was in Denmark I went to see “The Crazy Christmas Cabaret”, I did not know much about it but I bought the tickets for it. I bet you want to know what on earth was I so excited about, well, this year’s special occasion was a tribute to the master of suspense; Alfred Hitchcock, through the eyes of the very talented Vivienne McKee.
I’ve always loved theatre but I never had the opportunity to go to a event like this, I did not hesitate!.... Not for one second! And of course I’ve been intrigued by Mr. Hitchcock’s films since I discovered his movies when I was fourteen years old... by this I was both thrilled and amused.
Sir Alfred Hitchcock (1899-1980) was an English film director and producer. He pioneered many techniques in the suspense. And he developed his very own personal style, he framed shots to maximize anxiety or fear and innovate in film editing.
Over six decades he directed more than 50 films and through these and his appearances in many of them plus the TV program “ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS” which he only presented in his very personal way, he became one if the most important cultural icons of the 20th Century!
Due to the release of “Hitchcock” Starring the soon-to-be legend Anthony Hopkins; I decided to write this little article tributing this creative legend. In my personal opinion I believe that to remember special people who left a good mark in the world in any way it’s the beginning of encouraging ourselves to build a path and leave our good marks up high, "That’s immortality, my darlings" - Marlene King.
I am the kind of person who likes to always be inspired by someone or something. And that’s when my creativity flies higher. Anyway I assure you will love the “CCC” show, you should die laughing during the show, I almost did.
